Building a team is essential for the success of a business. Kristina Wade and Nate Butler are with Envoy advertising agency. They partnered with Viasat to build the launch campaign for their new satellite, which will provide rural Americans with access to satellite home internet services. Envoy worked with Viasat to build the brief, nail the big idea, and produce the campaign that launches this May.

Ashley Landa is a Digital Marketing Manager at Capitol Music Group. As a Digital lead for pop, rock, urban, and Latin music, she oversees strategy and marketing execution for artists such as J Balvin, Kali Uchis, The Cure, Young Miko, DOMi, JD Beck and more. Landa will be discussing Latin Music Marketing focusing on Latin campaigns and its expansion in the music industry. 

This panel is hosted by the AAC Club and consists of 4 panelists who all use AAC as their primary mode of communication. Our panelists include Dr. Tracy Rackensperger, Dr. Yoosun Chung, Kevin Williams, and Mateo Moreno, who will be discussing a variety of topics by sharing their insights and experiences, all centering our main theme of “Communicating Through Life: A Panel Discussion on Using AAC to Negotiate Various Life Events”. 

The AAC Club aims to address several barriers during events that have been hosted in the past, and this panel is no exception. We will be addressing the issues of social isolation and stigma, systemic exclusion in systems, and the limited exposure AAC users have to innovative formats and platforms. This panel is the culmination of the AAC Club’s speaker event series for the 2025-2026 academic year, “Nothing About Us Without Us.”

Marc Stein has been covering the NBA for more than 30 years since graduating from Cal State Fullerton. He's worked extensively in newspapers, television, radio, and podcasting, and will discuss the various stages of his career, tips for success in the modern era, and the many ways that the sports media business has evolved over the past three decades. Lambda Pi Eta will be hosting an engaging Pop Culture event that showcases the dynamic and real-world applications of Human Communications courses. Through interactive elements and relevant pop culture examples, the event will highlight how these classes equip students with valuable skills in media literacy, storytelling, and effective communication across diverse platforms. Attendees will gain insight into how Human Communications connects classroom concepts to the trends and conversations shaping today’s cultural landscape.

In this session, Yaa Asantewaa Faraji breaks down how she uses AI to multiply output across both her corporate role and her independent creative work. From scaling content strategy in fast-paced product environments to launching a film production company, this talk explores how AI can act as a force multiplier for productivity, creativity, and career growth. Students will gain insight into how AI tools—ranging from custom GPTs to rapid web prototyping—can be used to enhance storytelling, support product innovation, and create new pathways into industries like tech, media, and content strategy.

Bringing the newsroom to Cal State Fullerton, Telemundo 52 panelists will recount their academic and professional journey, navigating the newsroom as bilingual and Hispanic media professionals. Gain insight from notable professionals in the field, including eight-time award-winning news anchor Alejandra Ortiz, alongside four-time award-winning news producer Genesis Samayoa-Hildago, and the Vice President of News at Telemundo 52 Los Angeles, Mike Gaytán.
