About me
Mara M. Gaborro is a strategic communications executive, researcher, and emerging educator with nearly 30 years of leadership experience across global corporations, consumer brands, and mission-driven organizations. From leading corporate communications at one of the Philippines’ largest conglomerates to serving as Vice President of Marketing at Glico USA, Mara has built a career at the intersection of strategy, storytelling, and impact—driving measurable growth in brand equity, market expansion, and stakeholder engagement.
Today, Mara serves as Head of Communications & Community Engagement at Morningside Presbyterian Church while pursuing her Master of Arts in Professional Communication at California State University, Fullerton. Her research focuses on how organizations can ethically and effectively communicate with the next generation—particularly Generation Alpha—through strategic, culturally responsive, and values-driven communication frameworks.
Through her work, Mara hopes to inspire the next generation of communicators to step boldly into graduate studies, deepen their expertise, and lead with both purpose and excellence in the corporate world and beyond.
