About me
Adrian Garcia graduated from Cal State Fullerton in 2016 with a degree in print journalism, but decided to go to the dark side of TV. And he's so glad he did. He started his career at KGUN-TV in Tucson, AZ where he worked in a newsroom full of talented journalists who took him under his wing. While there, he covered a wide range of stories, including the Sawmill Fire, which became one of the largest wildfires in AZ history at the time.
He then moved to his hometown of San Diego to produce morning news for KGTV, ABC 10News. He spent 3 years there, two of them which were overshadowed by the COVID pandemic. It was an unprecedented time for the industry and Adrian navigated a new world of producing from home. He credits his team there with teaching him how to showcase his stories through creative writing, camera shots, and graphics.
After a lifetime in the southwestern part of the U.S., Adrian packed his bags and moved to work for KCPQ FOX 13 Seattle. He spent 5 years though and developed his voice and leadership style. He moved up the ranks to become Executive Producer of the #1 morning show in the market, Good Day Seattle. He helped the station win their first Emmy for Best Morning Newscast for a winter storm that impacted the entire state right before the holidays in 2023.
Now, Adrian is in Boston where he just started a new job as nightside Executive Producer for WBTS NBC 10 Boston.
